The user can enter non-matching values, but may not leave the control until a matching value is entered. Settings The settings for Boolean are: Value Description True The text entered must match an existing list entry.

combobox validating cancel-73

Note Not all containers enforce this property Thanks Dave but Match Required is already set to TRUE.

I am still able to type-in 'Non-Matching' entries and when clicking on any other control on the User Form (Combobox therefore looses the focus) I get the "Invalid Value property" error.

At present due to the interaction of other controls on the userform, the only way to clear the error is by pressing the 'Escape key'.

I have a button designed to reset the 'Row Source' of the Combobox but even after adding a 'Mouse Move' event to this button with code Match Required Property Specifies whether a value entered in the text portion of a Combo Box must match an entry in the existing list portion of the control. Whether the text entered must match an existing item in the list.

Based on the selection the value in the cbo Form2 changes. Loop throu cbo Form2 to find whether the cbo Form1.

I have created a data input form that updates a table. On my input form I have a combo box that updates a field that does not allow nulls. If I don't access the combo box on an add new record my accept button gives me an error that the table field will not accept nulls. How do I lock these dropdown values or how would I check it. If the value already exists, set the focus to that item.
